How to prevent all emails from going into the unread folder

Hello! I have a friend who is experiencing this issue with her emails in Outlook:

All of her email is going into her unread folder. She has tried rebooting her computer and adding me to her "do not block" list, and that has not helped.

She also does not have Rules or Alerts set up for emails.

Any suggestions you may offer to help resolve the issue of all of her emails going into her unread folder would be appreciated.
